What will it do?
- This workshop will result in a number of possible strategies for innovation. We do that by firstly determining the present and possible core competencies of the organisation. We then determine the possible opportunities for the organisation through a number of different opportunity frameworks. Potential strategies for innovation are then determined by determining how these core competencies can then be used to take advantage of these opportunities. The workshop includes:-

  • SWOT and TOWS analysis
  • Sources of opportunities
  • Attribute analysis
  • Orthodoxy analysis
  • Trend analysis - Industry, global, technological, demographic...
  • Analysing threats and opportunities
  • Evaluating opportunities
  • Understanding core competencies
  • Strategic mapping

Who is this for? - This workshop is designed for organisations who are seeking to find and follow new innovative opportunities. Participants are usually drawn from the different departments and tiers of the organisation and are normally selected to be there because of their creative and strategic orientation.

Pre-workshop work - It would be of advantage for the participants to engage in a degree of environmental scanning prior to the workshop. Examining trends in the industry, key competitors, the economy, the rest of the world, government legislation, demographics or other relevant factors to your organisation would be helpful.

Participant’s real work scenarios in every section of every workshop - Each section of every workshop brings the participant’s actual work scenarios into the training room and participants decide on the changes they will implement from their learning before they leave the workshop.

Workshops utilise a variety of learning approaches - Participants not only receive highly relevant material with engaging presenters, but we also use video, discussions, role plays, training games, assessments and team exercises to unsure that participants are engaged and learning throughout the whole day.
