Giving presentations

What will it do? - This workshop will equip the participant to deliver confident and convincing presentations. It will help them to prepare effectively, engage with the listeners and deliver a winning presentation. The workshop includes:
  • Practical exercise in preparing a presentation
  • Overcoming speech anxiety
  • Building rapport
  • Understanding the different purposes of  presentations
  • Being clear on your central idea
  • Having appropriate supporting material
  • Structuring your presentation
  • Introductions and conclusions
  • Speech delivery techniques
  • Vocal delivery and body language techniques
Who is this for? -This workshop is for any team member who needs to deliver presentations, speeches or training sessions. Whether it is a 5 minute presentation to the board, at 10 minute sales presentation or a 60 minute training session, the principles and practices covered would be most helpful

Pre-workshop work - It is most helpful if the participants bring a presentation that they have delivered or are working on. If they do not have one, then they should think of a presentation they may need to do. This presentation will be developed during the workshop. It is helpful if the presentation is relevant to the group. There is an opportunity for the participant to deliver the presentation and be assessed on the various aspects covered in the training. There should be 20 minutes allowed for every 10 minute presentation to allow for questions and debriefing.
