Changing Organisational Culture


What will it do? - This workshop will help your organisation understand the difference between its values and its culture. It will give you key ways to change the culture of your organisation on 3 key levels. It gives key strategies for organisational leaders to implement in their personal behaviour and through organisational practices. The workshop includes:
  • The relationship between vision, culture and brand
  • Understanding company values
  • Addressing the culture-vision gap
  • How culture affects performance
  • 3 levels of culture – artefacts, values and assumptions
  • The role of stories, heroes, symbols, celebrations and slogans
  • Aligning assumptions, values and artefacts
  • How leaders embed culture
  • Embedding culture through organisational practices
  • Culture based recruiting
  • Addressing cultural change through the key touch points

Who is this for? - This workshop is designed for higher level managers who have decided that there are aspects of the organisation's culture that they desire to change. Since cultural change only occurs with a concerted effort from the leaders of the organisation, it is important that the participants believe that a cultural change program is necessary.

Pre-workshop work - It would be of advantage for the participants to refresh their understanding of their organisation's values and reflect on how these values are or are not lived out by the organisation's practices.
